Jennifer Louise Designs
Jennifer Louise Claxton is a budding designer maker who is currently completing her third (and final) year at Plymouth University studying BA Hons in Three Dimensional Design: Designer Maker. She is currently working on her final major project and fundraising for New Designers show in London 2012.
She enjoys working with mark making, surface texture and surface pattern in her specialised mediums of textiles and ceramics. Context and narrative feature heavily in her design philosophy as she feels that this gives her work a sense of meaning and relevance in today's society. Jennifer has also been researching deeply in to design philosophies of British designers from past to present and has also found this as a source of inspiration for her work. Sustainable design is another aspect that interests her and although not all her pieces are specifically environmentally sustainable, she does take interest in upcycling and sustainable design and will use these processes where ever possible.
